As a breastfeeding mother from 2017 - 2019, I fell in love with the idea of breastmilk jewelry. I began researching the ins-and-outs of the art and making my own jewelry. I fell deeper in love through the process and wanted to offer my services to others with hopefully a smaller price tag than competing companies.
Breastmilk preservationists do not share their secrets of the trade! So, my process is my own and it works. Through years of research and trial and error while raising my own family, I discovered the most conservative method to preserve breastmilk. Only two ingredients are added; so as you admire your breastmilk piece from me, you can take pride knowing you are seeing more breastmilk than added preservation ingredients.
Providing this service is so dear to me because I have my own children with whom I've either failed or succeeded at breastfeeding. With my first, I was naïve about the process. I thought it just happened naturally and perfectly. Unfortunately, I didn't last more than 10 days, ended up in the hospital with severe mastitis, and was advised to quit breastfeeding immediately. When I had my second child, I reached out for help but it wasn't enough. Again, I failed. Finally, with my third child, I began researching and learning the art of breastfeeding throughout my whole pregnancy. Third time's a charm right? Yup. We made it two years!!! Needless to say, I have quite the collection of self-made breastmilk keepsakes to celebrate this accomplishment!
Formula has been a life saver, literally. It has given women and families the flexibility needed to make choices that are necessary. If not for formula, my own inability to breastfeed my first two children would have left a devasted mother and father at home. For this reason, in addition to my breastmilk keepsakes, I have and can also make formula keepsakes.
I also wanted to provide cremation preservation services as these memorabilia are of equal importance in life. Not enough can be said about the pain of losing someone. These memorabilia bring so much peace and solace during the grieving process. I want to help bring a piece of healing to all.
Adding hair is also a special keepsake. How many parents save a baby's first hair cut or first lock of hair? I did!
